## 2026-08-23 — Public website foundation

Established the public-site information architecture and a separate static website foundation. The public site is intentionally independent from the Memory Farm application and contains no private archives, application services or product claims beyond the current experimental scope.

## 2026-08-23 — Archive-first re-brief

Reframed the homepage around the human problem: digital history is scattered across decades of devices and services while the context connecting it fades. Added the messy-source flow, provenance-first explanation, family-context use case, coexistence with existing photo apps, archival longevity principles and the initial public contact route.

## 2026-08-24 — Sources, libraries and enrichment

**In development**

Added the Source concept to the public model: sources, their representations and what each source knows are preserved as provenance. The site now makes room for source adapters, library-derived enrichment, multiple observations that can disagree, and the later option of producing a portable archival collection.

## Current focus

Safely ingesting folders, preserving source identity, extracting limited observations and assembling candidate episodes for review.

## Not yet

Memory Farm does not yet reconstruct a complete life history, reliably identify every person or event, or guarantee machine-generated interpretations.
